Dispute

We have a president and vice president both saying they have leaking showers and are having the

association pay for a new custom shower.

They are stating that the leak is under the sub floor and they are not responsible for the common pipe at

that level. Our CCNR's state they are. They are using a lawyers chart to override this issue. I also spoke

to the plumber who states there is a leak at the drain meeting the floor of the shower but that he will only

guarantee a fix if he installs a $3500+ shower with a marble base for support. I asked about the sub floor

comment and he said that the seal under the shower COULD break because of no support but that is not

the issue in the current leaks. He believes the drain should be supported better from underneath to avoid

the gap and possible moving or flexing during a shower. And silicone would only be a temporary fix.

Did a law change allowing them to use homeowners funds for there personal showers which would

override our CCNR's? Meaning this individual pipe under the sub floor?
