| | I am a homeowner currently being pursued by the attorney’s of the HOA I live in. We were never informed |
| | in a change of property management and our direct withdrawal of payment was stopped. This is a very |
| | long story. The short version the last time we were in court they offered settlement for attorney fees in the |
| | amount of $570 I counter offered $420 feeling that $150 were trumped up charges. They said they need |
| | time to get with the board and requested that we post pone the 2nd pre-trial hearing while they took my |
| | offer to the board in the meantime they charged more attorney fees totaling $3600 on a debt to the HOA |
| | of $320.00. I was wondering if you knew who I could talk to, to help me in plight against the HOA. I am |
| | running out of time they said I have until tomorrow to decide. |

| | The larger issue at hand concerns one of privacy. Recently I received a notice from the HOA that I must |
| | provide them with a copy of the lease from my renter. I am seriously balking at this. I do not believe that |
| | they have a right to that information nor do they need it. I am the owner, they can talk to me about issues |
| | with my renter and I will deal with it as a landlord. I feel this oversteps the bounds of privacy and the |
| | rights of the HOA. |
| | |
| | Can you tell me if I am correct in this and if there is a legal precedent in this regard? I do not want to |
| | give them the info on my renter as I do not believe it is any of their business. |
